“I don’t even know why I’m still in school. Nothing seems to be working for me.”
“Books are not my thing. They make me sleep.”
“I have been trying to get just two pages into my head for the past two hours.”
“I find it hard to concentrate in class and during study.”
An inglorious writer once said; “Your brain is also a part of your body. Control it!” A lot of people believe the human brain controls the mind and that erroneous belief has unfortunately, caused them to be satisfied with mediocrity. The human mind actually has control over the brain and this makes it possible for us to do a lot of things we never thought we’re capable of.
The human brain can be tricked by the mind. Sadly, we weren’t taught those tricks in elementary and secondary education. Instead, we learnt (directly or indirectly) that the ability of the human brain ranges from ‘Genius’ to ‘Dull’ and that fallacy has stuck with us till now.
Fortunately for students of the University Of Ilorin, the Students’ Union has organized an academic workshop to teach the art of tricking the brain to our maximum advantage. Now you will no longer spend an hour on that page because you’ll have the ability to give specific instructions to your brain.
The workshop (THE LEARNING HACK: LEARN, UNLEARN, RELEARN) holds at the University of Ilorin main auditorium on the 4th of December, 2019 by 9a.m.
